Business development and selling in India
Our Sales and Business Development services in India focus on finding, in line with the client company’s strategic objectives, potential Indian commercial and/or production partners, and on negotiating the related agreements, setting the objectives to be achieved and each party’s roles and investments.
01
Search for commercial partners / distributors / agents
The aim is to present the client company with a shortlist of distributors or commercial partners to start negotiations with. In detail:
- Obtain the contact details of the key managers of the identified distributors;
- Contact potential distribution partners to assess:
– the fit between the client company’s products and the market served by these players;
– whether the minimum requirements of the distribution partner for starting a collaboration with the client company are met (e.g. stock requirements, exclusivity, re-branding options, etc.);
– whether the minimum requirements of the client company for starting a collaboration with the distribution partner are met (e.g. distribution coverage, minimum turnover volumes, no competing products, etc.). - Set up an agenda of meetings between the client company’s managers and the distribution partners that have actually shown interest in the products.
Several intermediate checkpoints are planned to present the results of the activity; each checkpoint is an opportunity to review progress and confirm it is in line with contractual expectations.
